1. MEMBERSHIP

Board Director Chair: Laura Renner

Membership growth, retention and engagement is key to building the strength and value of our chapter, particularly when you consider there is 'strength in numbers.' The MembershipWorking Group listens to members and works to implement their suggestions into our program and procedures. The group learns about each member so it can help put people together to create strategic alliances.

Sub-groups and Working Group example activities include:

  • Outreach to Guests and Potential Members
  • Greeting New Members
  • Retention of Current Members (renewing members)
  • Outreach to Expired Members

The Membership Working Group focuses on following up with potential and current members to ensure that we are both welcoming for new members and supportive of our existing membership. For example, we organize a quarterly New Membership Welcome event as well as meet individually with new members to learn more about them and their needs.

In addition, Working Group members find ways to gather insights on what is working or not working so that we may continually improve our value to our members.

The Membership Working Group is one of the best ways to really get to know existing, new, and potential members. Being in this Working Group gives you a reason to approach anyone to start up a conversation that will always lead to your learning about their business and giving them a chance to learn about yours!
